Social media for busy people

Social media has become such an integral part of our life, it’s easy to forget it’s been around a relatively short time.  Facebook started in February 2004. Twitter in March 2006, Linkedin in 2002.

Yet just because you have accounts on Facebook, Twitter or Linkedin, does that make you an expert?  Would you know how to best use them to generate more business? Would you even have the time in your working day to use them?

No? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. We come across many business people who know they should be using social media for their companies – but just don’t know some of the strategies, best practise and tricks to making sure their time is spent well. How many times have we heard that phrase “someone said we should use Twitter” yet not really understood how or why?

We believe it’s important for companies large and small, to decide their social media strategy, understand how to evaluate the success and work out what they want to achieve. This makes the whole exercise more focused and purposeful – let’s face it, which business person has time to fritter away? We’re all busy people.

Social media without a strategy is like playing Candy Crush in a meeting. Pointless, ineffectual and career limiting.

On 15th September, Jane Binnion and I will be running our ‘social media for busy people’ workshop, which will help you:

  • identify your social networking goals,
  • how to achieve them,
  • how to get the best out of the top 5 social media platforms,
  • as well as understanding what to post,
  • how to engage with your customers,
  • when to respond and how.

We’d love you to join us in this fun, informative workshop. You will leave armed with a real direction for your business social media, some great resources and best of all, the gift of time – we’re all busy business people, so freeing up an extra 15 minutes a day certainly adds up.

Sign up now, and learn how to use social media for your business in a smarter way.
