I got to know Amanda through her regular contact with the CILT. She looks after a number of clients who are members of the Institute. She’s a good source of stories and regularly supplies our publication Focus with some really nice articles.
So when we were looking at the PR arrangements for our North West awards, it made sense to work with her. She’s got great rapport with journalists and good trade contacts, and she’s also very involved with the Women in Logistics organisation.
Amanda was able to get us into the local and industry press we wanted, and we had some excellent online coverage too. The thing about Amanda is that she’s friendly, approachable and you can always have a chat and a laugh with her. And she always delivers what she says she’s going to deliver!
I’d worked with TigerfishPR before, so when Peel Ports needed a staff newsletter I felt Amanda’s approach would fit well with our business. At the time we had to communicate a number of corporate messages across the company. We wanted to ensure a clear and consistent message reached our diverse workforce; many of whom did not have direct access to email or worked unsociable hours.
Working with Amanda at Tigerfish PR was a really positive experience. She was very much part of our extended communications team and not only contributed some great ideas for promoting TDG, but she took complete responsibility for our PR campaigns. Because of her experience in the logistics industry and extensive media contacts, she was able to raise our profile considerably and it made a real difference to the business.
When you’re busy working in the business it’s not always obvious what’s of interest to people. Amanda’s great at extracting a story from you when you’re convinced there isn’t one. And since we’ve started working together Attwater has definitely received a lot more exposure in the press and the company’s profile has been raised considerably.
“I attended your seminar yesterday – which I found amazing…- very inspiring and encouraging” Yvette Price, Just the two of us
“Enjoyable as well as informative”
“An excellent presentation”
Amanda has supported TDG in a PR and Crisis Management capacity for over six years in a thoroughly professional and capable manner. With an ability to communicate at all levels she is a valuable asset to our team.
Gail Everton, Group Marketing Manager, TDG
Ask any journalist what the worst part of their job is and most will tell you it’s ‘working with PRs’. All too often they are obstructive, self-important gatekeepers that are only interested in grabbing large chunks of their client’s marketing budget in exchange for churning out poorly written press material.
Tigerfish is different however, as it has always taken the time to really get to know us and how we work.
It works hard to make sure we speak to the right people, who can best answer our questions, and more than that, it helps us build relationships with our readers.
The only problem I have with Tigerfish is that it doesn’t work for ALL of my contacts.
James Falkner, (when he was) Web Editor, International Freight Weekly
Tigerfish have supported us over the last two years, through our re-branding to Freightex and our push for growth. Amanda has a good understanding of the logistics market place and some excellent contacts in the related press, this has allowed us to get growing coverage in the key media for our industry and assist us in getting the brand better recognised. She is happy to provide input and guidance at what is likely to work and at a “sensible budget.” I would happily recommend her to other logistics companies.
Tim Phillips, CEO, Freightex
