Fresh face at Remsol as company plans for growth

Preston-based waste and environmental management specialist, Remsol, has announced the appointment of a new commercial director as it begins to implement its growth plans for the next few years.

Nigel Sankey has built a successful career in a variety of commercial and business development roles in the environmental sector, including a firm specialising in asbestos management and removal.  Nigel also spent 4 years with Timbmet in Oxfordshire where he helped to establish routes for timber recycling alongside timber sales.

Lee Petts, managing director at Remsol, says: “I’m delighted to welcome Nigel to the team.  He joins at an exciting time in the company’s history as we continue to focus on building our presence in Lancashire, working with SME businesses to help them cut waste, recycle more and save money.”

Remsol has also benefited from its work in the UK’s fledgling shale gas industry as a prominent participant in Cuadrilla’s local supply chain, and is now beginning to expand its links with the onshore oil and gas sector.

Nigel says: “I’m looking forward to strengthening the Remsol management team, and to working with clients old and new. Our plans for organic growth are very bold but we’re also not ruling out the possibility of making some acquisitions in the next few years.”
